On the evening of February 12, 2025, law enforcement agencies conducted extensive operations aimed at dismantling a suspected cocaine trafficking network in northern Germany.

The operations took place across multiple locations, including Hamburg, Jork in the Old Country, and Buxtehude in Lower Saxony.

According to reports from local media outlets, including 'Bild', officers executed searches at eleven sites, leading to the arrest of three individuals.

The raids involved the deployment of heavily armed officers from the Mobile Task Force (MEK), which is frequently mobilized in high-risk law enforcement scenarios.

Police spokesperson Rainer Bohmbach remarked on the inherent risks of such operations, stating, "We do not know in advance how dangerous such an operation will be.

Therefore, we bring in special forces to assist with entry."

Investigators are currently focusing on a seven-member group, comprising six men and one woman, whose ages range from 43 to 58 years.

This group is suspected of being involved in the trafficking of significant quantities of cocaine.

One prominent location raided during the operation was a cultural association situated on Hinter dem Zwinger street in Buxtehude, where a male suspect was taken into custody by law enforcement officers.
