During a panel hosted by journalist Sandra Maischberger, experts from various fields converged to discuss the urgent need for a revision of security policies and defense strategies.

Germany has pledged to invest hundreds of billions of euros into its armed forces, but concerns persist regarding the speed and extent of the implementation of these reforms.

Notable figures on the panel, including Bundeswehr Chief Inspector Carsten Breuer and journalist Tilo Jung, stressed the importance of improving defensive capabilities within a limited timeframe to prevent any potential aggression from Russia.

Jung cautioned that a hurried response from European nations could inadvertently play into the strategies of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The panelists deliberated over the potential timeframe the West has to prepare against a possible Russian offensive, with Masala indicating that Europe may face significant time constraints in achieving defense sovereignty.
