Apple Introduces Ultra-Thin iPhone Air, Enhanced 17 Series and New Health-Focused Wearables

Apple unveils iPhone Air—the slimmest iPhone yet—as well as iPhone 17 models, AirPods Pro 3 and Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3 and Ultra 3 packed with health and sustainability upgrades
In a showpiece event on September 9 at Apple Park, the company unveiled its sleekest iPhone to date—the iPhone Air—alongside a refreshed iPhone 17 lineup, enhanced AirPods Pro and a new generation of Apple Watches.

At just 5.6 millimeters thick, the iPhone Air stands as Apple’s thinnest smartphone ever, featuring a 6.5-inch OLED display and “spacecraft titanium” construction.

It is available in Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White and Space Black.

It runs on the powerful A19 Pro chip, includes Apple’s new C1X modem and N1 networking chips, and relies exclusively on eSIM support.

Retailing from nine hundred ninety-nine dollars, the Air joins the iPhone 17 series with pre-orders starting September twelfth and shipping from September nineteenth.

The standard iPhone 17 offers a 6.3-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, improved AI features, enhanced scratch resistance and increased storage, while maintaining a starting price of seven hundred ninety-nine dollars.

The iPhone 17 Pro, priced from one thousand ninety-nine dollars, introduces a vapor-chamber cooling system, a larger battery and advanced camera performance.

Camera upgrades across the lineup include AI-driven Center Stage framing, ultra-stabilized video, and dual-capture for simultaneous selfie and rear-scene recording.

Wearables received notable enhancements.

The AirPods Pro 3, priced at two hundred forty-nine dollars, feature live language translation, heart rate detection, better fit and enhanced active noise cancellation.

They include improved spatial audio and battery life.

Three Apple Watch models were introduced.

The Apple Watch Series 11, starting at three hundred ninety-nine dollars, includes a blood pressure monitor (pending FDA approval), sleep score tracking, stronger glass, and 24-hour battery life.

The more affordable Apple Watch SE 3 now features an always-on display and upgraded chip, starting at two hundred forty-nine dollars.

At the premium end, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 offers satellite connectivity, a larger screen, and up to forty-two hours of battery life, priced at seven hundred ninety-nine dollars.

Apple highlighted sustainability across the product line.

The iPhone Air is made with 80 percent recycled titanium.

All watch models incorporate at least 40 percent recycled materials, and the Ultra 3 features a 3D-printed titanium case that reduces waste.

Despite tariff pressures, Apple maintained its pricing across devices while increasing base storage options.

The company’s global manufacturing strategy, including expanded operations in India, has helped buffer cost increases.

With bold new designs, AI capabilities, health features and environmental improvements, Apple’s 2025 product refresh reinforces its leadership in innovation and premium consumer technology.
