On Tuesday, while eastern and northern parts of Germany may witness clouds drifting in from the Baltic Sea, the southwest is expected to enjoy predominantly sunny conditions.

Nighttime temperatures in the northwest are anticipated to remain near freezing, where localized fog may develop.

In the east, temperatures are projected to range between 8 and 13 degrees Celsius, while the southwest could see highs of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, accompanied by light winds.

From Wednesday to Friday, dry weather conditions are expected to persist, although significant cloud cover may remain in the northeast.

Projections for Friday suggest a notable increase in temperatures, with highs nearing 22 degrees Celsius in the Hochrhein region.

The upcoming weekend is forecasted to bring additional warming, with temperatures in the southwest possibly rising to around 24 degrees Celsius on Saturday, influenced by dust transported from the Sahara Desert.

However, by Sunday, meteorological predictions indicate the approach of initial rain showers and thunderstorms.

The ongoing dry spell is already having tangible effects on the environment and infrastructure.

Reduced water levels in rivers are compromising shipping activities on the Rhine, and the region's awakening vegetation is in critical need of rainfall, which, according to current forecasts, is unlikely to occur in the drier areas over the next week.

Consequently, the risk of wildfires has risen significantly across Germany, prompting concern among local authorities and environmental agencies.
